Seniors Action Plan

The Ministry of Health’s plan for improving the home and community care system for B.C. seniors has six themes that address system-wide change through key actions. A. Advance Care Planning
Advance care planning information and tools to help you prepare for your future health care needs will be available online and through your local health authority by April 2012. Read more
B. Residential Care Facility Inspections
Increase the focus of residential facility inspectors on high risk areas and ensure any necessary changes are made to maintain safety beginning in April 2012. Read more
C. Physician Training in End of Life Care
Strengthen family physicians and home health teams providing end of life care through training beginning in April 2012. Read more
D. After-Hours Palliative Tele-Nursing Support
Provide province-wide after-hours palliative tele-nursing support to caregivers and families in your your home as of April 2012. Read more
