Becoming an Age-friendly Community: Local Government Guide is a practical guide to becoming an age-friendly community for local governments, community organizations or local champions. It also describes the Age-friendly B.C. (AFBC) Recognition Program and outlines the criteria for achieving AFBC recognition.

Funding Opportunities
The Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) issues calls for grants from time to time to support age-friendly community planning and projects. Funding for the grants is provided by the B.C. government. For information, see UBCM.
