Finances

Financial management is important for seniors. Given the number of government programs designed to help supplement their incomes after they retire, it is essential seniors be aware of all the assistance they may be entitled to receive.

Many income security programs exist. The BC Senior’s Supplement and other provincial benefits supplement the Canada Pension Plan and other federal programs.

Seniors may also have some unique questions or concerns when it comes to income tax deductions, tax credits, charitable giving, RRSPs, and property taxes, as well as general questions on financial planning and protection.
