Equipment

Do you have difficulty performing activities of daily living such as getting dressed?

Do you have a chronic health condition that effects your mobility and/or balance?

Have you experienced an unexpected event that temporarily effects your mobility and/or balance?
Do you have difficulty getting up from your chair or toilet, or out of the bathtub?

A growing number of specialized home modifications (e.g. grab bars, walk-in showers) and assistive devices (e.g. reachers, raised toilets) have been identified to play an important role in reducing the risk of falls and helping older adults maintain their independence within their home.

Studies have shown that hip protector garments can reduce the incidence of hip fractures both in community dwelling seniors and those living in care facilities.
